Pilates is a method of exercise and physical conditioning designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. It is a very safe form of exercise suitable for women and men, children, and the elderly.
Pilates focuses on using both the body and mind to achieve optimum performance. It works all the muscle groups with a particular focus on core abdominal strength which not only creates a toned body, but also protects your spine and corrects your posture.
Cardio Pilates is a high energy class which combines all my favourite elements of fitness...moving to the beat of the music, aerobic exercise, strengthening, toning & stretching with a little dance vibe thrown in for good measure! High and low impact options to cater for all levels and abilities including pre and postnatal. A 45min feel good class which will leave you feeling on top of the world.
Strengthen your body to support pregnancy changes and learn how to connect your breath with movement to aid a positive birth experience.
Post pregnancy and birth repair focussing on strengthening your core and pelvic floor and closing any abdominal diastatis safely. This class is suitable following your 6 week check up. Babies from 6 weeks to crawling are welcome to come along too!
Barre is a Pilates, dance, yoga, ballet, fusion which flows to upbeat music. Raise your heart rate, create long, lean muscle tone, improve posture, burn fat and have fun!
Barre is fun for EVERYONE! No previous dance experience is necessary. If you love exercising and music and you fancy trying something different which is guaranteed to put a sweaty smile on your face, then Barre is for you. And yes, it is for men too!
In short...yes! By using small isometric muscle contractions integrated with an interval training approach, Barre improves cardio fitness, posture, flexibility and strength with the added bonus of it being a low impact form of exercise.
